‘There is a tremendous advantage of being unimportant’

Saul Leiter

Gwynne is a photographic enthusiast, who enjoys urban and street based imagery. He has been accompanied by a camera since the age of 7, when his father gave him his first camera; a Zeiss Ikon Contina MkII … which he still has.

Gwynne has held two exhibitions in the early noughties and he also was awarded his CPAGB around that time. Then, with options for a change of direction in his professional career, he took a gap year from his photography, as he followed other pursuits and enjoyed his flourishing interest in watercolour painting. Although the gap year ended up as being nearly ten, a camera was never really that very far away and there is a back catalogue of work that has to be worked on!.

Gwynne has had a number images published in national and local publications including, Amateur Photographer, Minolta World Magazine and New Walk Magazine amongst others.

Gwynne enjoys sharing his love of photography, which is in part, the reason this website has been set up … part a vanity project and part a vehicle to help share the exciting world of the street photography, as a genre.

His portfolio focuses on capturing candid images of people, lifestyle, urban & city environments in a creative way that convey a message, have visual impact, or suggest storytelling themes.

He really must get a better Self Portrait!
